The World I live in and Life in General

Alaska.

We are currently aboard the Disney wonder sailing to Alaska. This is our 3rd day at Sea, Today we should see the glaciers in Tracey Arms. The view outside is just beautiful. It's chilly but not unbearable.

We've been enjoying our time on the ship Meeting people, Playing bingo. Eating, Soccer. Game shows. Kids clubs. Enjoying coffee in the adults only section. Then tomorrow the off board adventures begin. Shore excursions.

We spent 4 days in Seattle before the ship. Saw the space needle. Pikes market. The first Starbucks. Eating local crab. Boeing museum ( enjoying that employee discount). Bellevue the king tut exhibit. All of it was just so fun. We stayed in a gorgeous hotel that was hidden and surrounded by green. The kids loved it and very nice weather No rain.

Playing catch up

July 11th really? When did that happen!

Around here we've been taking the girl to play hockey. She is officially a lady Duck and she scored in her first game. It was pretty exciting that I was there to see it.

We went to watch the Russian legends team play against the Ducks alumni team. I'm glad we went because we met a bunch of Russian fans and the ducks coach.

Lots of summer camp. Half day. Not enough gym for mama. The summer is slipping away.

The girl got her bangs cut and a pedicure and finished the Percy Jackson series.

Both kids are obsessed with all things Moshi Monsters. It's nuts.

Yesterday the girl and I had a ditch day and went to the beach. It was good fun. Next time well go all together.

8 weeks left to enjoy.

Playing catch up

LA COSTA TOP 10

1. The great weather. Not too hot but hot enough to enjoy the pool.
2. Pay per view in the room. Watched friends with kids.
3. Yummy food. S'mores for the kids., buffet breakfast (the boys favorite).
4. Comfy room in the perfect location, so the kids can open the doors and runout to play.
5. Snake show. For the kids, not me. It's creepy.
6. My favorite gym. Built in tv and overlooking the golf course.
7. The kids club!! I personally think it looks boring but the kids love it and that's what matters right?
8. The pools and watersides. The kids pool with the sand is the kids favorite.
9. Watching soccer in the club with a group of other Euro 2012 fans. Italy lost.
10. Just love that la costa is so close and the perfect getaway.

Getaway

Our first getaway of the summer. First stop is La Costa in Carlsbad. It's really lovely here, relaxing. We've had lunch and made our way to the pool so the kids could swim while we wait for our room to be ready.

Yesterday the girl finished hockey and Abuelo came by to pick up Forrest to babysit him while we are away.

At the end of July we have a mini break planned in Palms Springs (we've never been before as a family) and in August were off to Seattle with a surprise planned for the kids. So exciting. I'll share more later.

Back to relaxing.

Week 2

Sunday scrapples left early and we had a lazy day hanging out after a busy first week of summer and soccer.

Week 2 the boy started church camp and the Girly was off for a week of Anaheim Ducks Hockey Camp. We signed her up very last minute. But we think she's really enjoyed herself. She's the only girl in the camp.

The past 4 days have been filled with frozen yogurt. Hawaiian food for dinner (including everyone's favorite Hawaiian juice)

It's been hot hot hot. Yesterday the boy and I met my moms group at the park.

Today I've got to clean the house and get ready for Carlsbad.

Happy early Saturday morning at the new rink having The girl try out for a new team.

Yesterday we finished soccer camp. Had pho with papa and headed out to watch Brave.

We read all the books on the movie before we saw it and I have to say I enjoyed it. Teared up a bit at the end.

Came home played some wii and went to bed early to wake up at 6 for hockey.

Wednesday Thursday and today is Friday!

The days are going by. More soccer. A stop by Rubys for milkshakes and lunch.

Using a living social coupon before it expired for the picture people of my handsome not so little guy anymore.

A karate class and a pizza dinner.

Building Hogwarts brick by brick.

Enjoying our little visitor while my brother crlebrates his 30th in vegas This dog who in less than 24 hours peed on the sofa. Pooped inside and ripped the screen door.

The girl finished her baking class. She enjoyed it.

Today the last day of camp and Brave!!!!

Day 2

Yesterday was another packed day. Camps (soccer and she made cake today) chik fil a for lunch and a visit to downtown Disney to get the kids the toys we promised. Lego hog warts castle for her and a finn car for him.

Afterwards we stopped by the rink to see about switching hockey clubs. We will see where that journey leads us.

Wednesday more soccer camp. the girl is representing team USA.

Looking forward to watching Brave on Friday.

 

 

 

Hello Summer 2012

 

It's summer again and I've decided I'm going to try and blog the events of these next 12 or so weeks and if I get crazy try to do day in the life.

Monday the kids started soccer camp. It is the boys first year, her third. It's a group of young coaches from the UK. Three hours of soccer it's good times.

Day 1 was successful. I was worried The boy would have a rough day but turns out he loved it. Especially the little picnic after camp.

The girly is doing a baking camp in the afternoon at her old preschool/summer camp. Day one was cupcakes. She seemed to enjoy seeing old friends though she complained about not making the best looking cupcake.

While the girl was at camp I took the boy to get his summer haircut. He looks adorable, and he loves to play Mario Kart while he gets his haircut.

Dinner from the grill completed an enjoyable first day of summer. Hope the rest of the summer is as fun.
